How To Make A Mixing Demo:: Until here what I just want to go over some points of what can make. It takes a while for me to really, actually start mixing once I have a session in front of me. Cleaning up things and making sure its not distorted gives a huge clarity of whatever youre doing.
How To Edit Songs:: You really have to spend a lot of time making sure that fades are good. The biggest part to me is like the vocals. How much compression should we be baking into? Like a pop? The integrity to me really matters.
How To Mix a Song:: The classic minus six is good to once the green light on your doll on your computer starts turning yellow. Reference is another huge thing. Just try to listen to where the majority of people listen to its like earbuds and headphones, your phone. Taking that time and not rushing that part is huge.
How To Check the Sub-bass on Your Songs:: When you mix, do you also use sub at all? Or do you just mix with yeah. A lot of times I start at the loudest part of the song just because then everything else kind of falls into place. The most important part is to start exactly where you stopped.
Should You Turn Down Your Song On Spotify?:: Would it theoretically be better to turn down the parts of your track that arent the loudest so that the average overall luffs of the whole song is lower and therefore Spotify will turn it down? It all comes back to really taking that time to listening.
Mixing: Balance Throughout The Mix:: As youre coloring and gaining the tone of your mix over time, can you speak to how you manage that headroom and not to go over those things? Play with the smaller elements. The big contrast to me is huge of mute the vocal, not the vocal.
How To Make a Loud Song:: I always try to separate the things kind of I do on the side. From what Ive realized the most, the bigger the producers I work with, they dont really dont care about levels that much. Find that one part thats, like, this has to be the biggest.
How To Mix a Demo Song With Master EQ:: The biggest changes I would do on the actual tracks, like little EQ moves here. If you work really loud on your speakers, your stuff is going to be dark. Make sure that these songs are they sound the same as as close as it can be to the demo.
Trevor Daniel on Effects On Songs:: The producer does effects inserted on the channel. He doesnt really do the sends that much. But I feel like for the delays and stuff, those are moments. If I get a song that doesnt have that, then Im probably going to try to create that.
How To Use Reverb On Vocals:: If its 100% dry with no reverb or spatial effects, its weird natural. Can you speak about the parameters you want to be conscious of as youre recording?
How To Clean Up Your Drum Mixes:: I learned way more about mixing with producers than I do with mixers. These things are like cleanup things on the individual instruments. Like the groove the groove changes if I turn it off. Once youre done with the production, these were decisions made after like completely static decisions on the drums.
EQ Boosters vs. 808 Maximalizer:: This is a maximizer. So its not just limiting. Its like doing like an enhancement all around. Mixing with your eyes is very dangerous. The way you fit in the song better was like if you hear it that way.
How To Make a Song At High Volume:: Get it loud but not crush it. The issue is not what youre turning up with at the end, its the balance between those things. I do recommend producing into a Limiter so you dont blow your speakers. Low volumes really tell you whats in there.
Do You Need a DeEsser on Your Vocals?:: Would you say you always put a DeEsser on a vocal? Some singers you need more as because if they have like a Lisp or some sort or they sing too far from the mic. The DS is really tricky, though, because some speakers play feels like its too loud.
Determining Sound:: Dont overdo stuff. Dont clip, dont distort. When recording. If its part of the sound, then do it. Just like balance, because balance things. Sounds great. One more question.
