The Need for Psychological Safety:: Today, what were going to talk a little bit about and do some practices around psychological safety. Its really imperative to have a sense of psychological safety if there is any chance of you being creative. You have to feel safe to question, safe to create and safe to contribute.
Close Your Eyes and Breathe:: Close your eyes. Allow your mind to objectively label sounds from the most obvious to the most subtle. Notice the sensation of your breath from the moment that you breathe in until the moment where you exhale out. Practice really, really powerful for your nervous system.
Self-awareness and the mind:: In this human consciousness, there are sensations, images, feelings, thoughts. Its more about getting sensitive enough to see which thoughts are good for you. Sometimes when I try to control my breathing or meditate, I actually start to panic instead.
Practices for In the Moment:: In general, having meditating, its like a mental workout. Its building that muscle of awareness. Also very helpful if youre feeling wildly triggered in a moment. Eyes open or closed right now.
How to Stop Thinkening About Stress:: Take a deep breath in, exhale out, and on the next inhale, silently count to four. A lot of the times what causes us to have stress anxiety is a future paced something. Can we take 16 seconds or can we take 32 seconds and just take a breath?
How to Sit and Meditate:: Your mind in meditation is never going to stop thinking, ever. If someone is asking you to focus on your breath, you can always bring in something else in addition to it. Your mind is used to having all of your attention. Be okay and know that it will get more comfortable the more you practice that.
The Non-Crackingey Connection Exercise:: All right. I want you guys to find one person that you dont know yet. And Im going to honor system. If were having trouble, Ill pair you up and find once you find someone. And everyone is with a stranger.
Binging on Reality TV:: Okay, so first question. How many speeding tickets do you think Ive gotten in my life? How many tickets? The other person? What reality show do you Think Im most likely to binge watch and explain why I didnt? Next question.
Do You Think He's Ever Checks An Ex's Phone For:: Do you think hes ever checked an exs phone for evidence? I would say awesome. Whats the first thing you noticed about me? Either now or when you met. Next question.
What Are You Still Trying To Prove To Yourself?:: What are you still trying to prove to yourself? How can I 13 years. How would you describe the feeling of being in love in one word? What are you more afraid of, failure or success?
What do you think I should know about myself:: What do you think I should know about myself that perhaps Im unaware of? So, like, you would answer for yeah. Youd answer about each other. Next question.
What Will You Remember About Me?:: When this is over, what is one thing you will remember about me? Almost. Can you give everyone a piece of this paper? They can do it after if they need to. All right, so finishing up.
How Do You Feel?:: Last question is kind of a community question. How do you feel right now, in one word? And if any, I just want to kind of bring us all back together. You guys can shout them out.
Yearbook Love Letter:: All right, so the invitation is to write something to the person that you were just playing with. And then you can give the note to, you know, to your partner. Once you guys have exchanged your notes, we are done. Im here if you have any questions or you want to connect.
