I started taking photos when I was, like, 15 on accident. My mentor was my big brother. Dexter Navy does everything for ASAP Rocky. It kind of developed into me taking on jobs, going on tour. I love sharing my work.
How Do You Select A Workmate?:
:
I like working with everyone. I just like to work with people that really have a clear vision of what they want to do. For me, I work with anyone as long as you have aclear vision.
How To Get the Best Out of an Artist:
:
I dont like to go into photo shoots video shoots without even having a conversation with the talent. My work is way better when I actually have a connection with the person. Everything creative is about a conversation and connecting with theperson. Got to feel like youre enjoying the job 100%.
How To Make a Film Documentary:
:
Kareem Tobin shoots all of my stuff. He owns a crazy collection of old cameras. We shoot everything on film. The reason why I like shooting on film is because I reference a lot of old stuff. I want it to feel nostalgic.
Mike Dean on Sash's Rondo Music Video:
:
Mike Dean was interning for Dexter Navy when he heard a song by Sash. Sash is one of Mike Deans closest friends. He asked Mike Dean to direct the music video. Mike Dean says it was his first real production video.
Collaboration:

Filmmaker asks artists to introduce who they are as artists and writers. Will have everyone come up one by one, and then well move into the shoot. Do you all want to go first?
Caitlin on Her Burn Disability:
:
Caitlin Diegos artistry is fueled by her experience as a burn survivor. Her goal has always been to get one roll of film and then plan out my scenes and shoot the whole video in one roll. If you ever need any help, any advice, Im more than willing to help.
by La:
:
Diego: How could you use heat and hot colors and visuals? And use them in a way where its like youre taking power of it. Sophie: The feeling I have is obviously, like release and a liberation. Diego: I want that to come across through the album cover.
Vocal Groups:
:
I feel like for that, the vocal is really the focus, right? So dont let the visual take let the vocal shine. I really love kind of organic sounds and definitely with visuals.
On His Album Collection:
:
Every time I release a single, I kind of change the aesthetic. I would just say keep going and keep trying things out until you find something that you really like. But theres one thing to always keep it cohesive.
The Australian boxer:
:
Diego is originally from Australia. Ollie, make sure you do the mic. Are you watching the fight this weekend? Bokonowski? I know. Im going to try if I have time.
Diego on 17:
:
Diego: My aesthetic is very dark, very down to it. 17.417. That was the first song I did where I just came out of nowhere. If you need any help developing an idea for a music video, please contact Diego.
milo on His New Video:
:
Luisa is releasing a collab with a friend in Nashville in May. She has an idea for the visuals. She says it should be a light hearted video that makes you laugh. As long as you have your own approach with it, theres no on the nose, in her opinion.
Meet Diego and Monica:
:
New color. I think for you, specifically for your sound. Just the culture, like, our culture. Where are you from? My parents are from Mexico. Definitely shoot it out there. Only coming back for the survive.
Ideas are the key to making a cool film:
:
You dont need a lot to make something cool. You just need an idea. As things progress and you get bigger budgets, the quality of it can go up. As long as you love your idea and you believe in it and you feel strong about it, its going to be fire.
Diego, thank you so much for this chat:
:
