Piano Student Conference:
:
A question is what do you want to take away from today? You play piano, right? So field piano players. But before we get into the collaboration and ideals and stuff, is there any questions you guys have specifically about things you all want to learn.
What Do You Wish You Knew Before You?:
:
For me, what I wish I knew is structure, time and not being pressured by deadlines. I would definitely say at you guys age, I would take business management a bit more seriously in this business. Make sure you cultivate relationships early.
Brian: Where are you at in your career right now:
:
Im about to dive back into the music side of it. But Ive taken a social entrepreneurial space since I went through what he went through. On the health side, Ive created a foundation called History Healing. Im narrowing that focus down going into 2023 to just focus on the important things.
On Studying His Music:
:
Dont sleep on studying, because even as a pianist, Im still learning new stuff. How do I make things that are comfortable uncomfortable? And you find a new space and a new voice within that. The base of modern pop music starts there.
How To Make a Sad Song:
:
I want to take music theory and transfer that into emotions. I want to make a sad song. Obviously, for me, its not more about theory. Its more about color and filling. Theres sadness, theres inspiration, melancholy.
Songwriters, singers, and post-production:
:
Well break up into four groups. One is songwriters, two are singers, three is producers. Four is mixing and additional production. Whos going to be brave and be a post production?
5 Groups For The Day:
:
Each one, you should have a one, two to three four in your group. What we can do is take one of you guys from each group and you all going to pair. You all can figure it out.
I Want To Collaborate With You:
:
Were going to create I want to collaborate with you guys on, like you said, spicy, and then theres melancholy. And we want to create songs. I think we should just assign the vibe per group. They can sit where they sit.
Group Vibe:
:
There are four groups. What is the vibe? Sad. Melancholy. Spicy. Fire. Summer inspired sad and tired. I love this.
How To Write A Song Thats Inspired:
:
The process is to create a foundation to where something is just Im creating the heartbeat of whatever this is. And then Im gonna give the files to the producers to Tweak and start messing with it as the writers write. About every day is different.
On Letting the Music Flow:
:
Just be in that moment. Be open to it. A respect thing when youre collaborating with somebody is to be open and give the floor. Only producer you will ever know that will make a hit out of stock sounds.
Do You Quantize Your Keys?:
:
Do you quantize your keys or do you just leave them as they are sometime on the day? Sometimes, yeah. Only sometimes, not all the time. You cant let computers try to dictate how you feel.
The Idea For An Inspiring Song:
:
The more important thing is verse pre chorus and hook. How do you write to get placed, but still without losing integrity of being creative? Who are artists that you think of when you think about summary?
Spice in Your Russian:
:
All right, cool. What do you hear stylistic wise, you guys? Something in, like, the patron. Whos the producers in this group? So I need to find your whats yours, John?
Upcoming Artist Ava Delaney on Acting:
:
If you dont have acting in your pocket and you want to be an artist, I strongly suggest youre in La. Theres a million places you could take an acting class. Get on camera experience. Think about who you are and who you want people to see you as.
Flip The Beat:
:
My goal is to take the ghost from it and apply it, not take the song. What were doing is going in different groups. By all means, do what you all feel inspired. You all can work on it today, go back tomorrow.
On Her New Music:
:
Flip has been producing music since he was 13 years old. He says he always treats it as a performance. His tips: Be relentless no matter how long it takes.

Sessions are like, you can talk about it, open up about it. Some sessions are literally just therapy. 90% of great sessions is energy. You got to get the numbers up, get into sessions. Authentically.
The Tattoo Class:
:
Rashid: What is the inspiration for a tattoo? The word is moody evening. Any group that has four or three can have an add on of one person. The next idea is going to be sad and tired.
Being Prepared For A Song:
:
Being prepared is the best thing that you can do. Being nice goes a long way, like offering to get somebody a coffee or a tea. If its not moving along, you do have to be prepared to take the reins yourself.
Moodys Songs For Producers:
:
Moody: Your job as a producer is to serve the room in a sense, but also keep your integrity intact. Do you have any fun icebreakers like icebreakers or just something to lighten the mood?
Moody Producing Summer and Fire:
:
It was like, everywhere. Treat everything like the hook, like its that moment. Make everything a moment, but not overdo it, too. It provokes the artist and writer to be like, yo, this is something happened there. This is creating a conversation for writers to have over your music.
Producing Fire:
:
The goal is to take them today, fool them, tweak them, jump in each others sessions. Im going to go outside myself on this one, in a sense where we put you in a fashion scroll. I want to create a different space for you all if they go hard enough.
How To Make a Hit With a Tank:
:
The producer says its just a matter of the machine and the creative knowing how to let them work together. Get in, get out, make them, and then make it memorable when you do it. Dont over because its quality in a beat quantity.
Part of being a producer is knowing what you're talking about:
:
A lot of the responsibility of a producer is to be responsible for how good or bad it comes it out. For me, I had to realize my conversation had to change in my life, not just music, for me to know what Im talking about. That skill can be learned outside of music.
State of the Weekend:
:
This is state of the weekend record. Just doing a quick little edit here. A lot of this stuff is really just trial and error. In post, Ill probably go back and flip it around, change some stuff, take kicks out.
